What is a "honeydew melon"?

The honeydew melon, also known as the Casaba melon, is characterized by its smooth rind, which can be green or yellowish, and lacks a musky odor. It typically has a round to slightly oval shape and pale green flesh. Honeydew melons contain seeds, but the main edible part is the inner flesh, often enjoyed as a dessert. Maturity can be judged by the color of the rind, which shifts from greenish white when immature to creamy yellow when mature.
